Your Mum, Brixton Telegraph

A new night in London's just hit the streets of Brixton - focusing on every and any brand of filthy bass. You Mum's first night sees 2 Bit Thugs head the bill: the fun-loving crew whose remixes have been rallying up alot of support. Glitchy and crunky bangers. Vocal snippets are looped along to choppy, bouncy beats, tied together by bmore drums patterns. They're imaginative brand of hip-hop infused house is all womping and warping bass. They've amusingly labeled themselves 'gangsta house' - but it's fitting with those dirty vocals and chirpy beats permeating they're playful sets. As the great Dj Skeet Skeet once said: "Real Thugs Play Electro". (Also check 2 Bit Thugs' brilliant remix of Rico Tubbs' 'Gangsters', unfortunately I don't have permission to post it here).:

Their jittery remix of 2 Live Crew is a choppy, wonky bmore number. And the baltimore re-edit of B.Rich is similarly bouncy bmore (and made an appearance in Pelski's Playlist V). 2 Bit Thugs' remix of Block Rockin' Beats is a refreshing take on the classic stadium anthem, with squelchy bass and stuttery percussive beats:
